Be동사 vs Get  (2형식)

 

(1) 상태 vs 변화

  • Everything is more expensive now.
  • Everything is getting more and more expensive.
  • I'm not used to single life. (~에 익숙해있다)
  • I'm getting used to single life. (~에 익숙해지다)
  • You're good at this. (~를 잘한다)
  • You got good at this fast. (~를 잘하게 되다)

 

(2) 상태 vs 행동(get + adj.)

  • They've been married for 10 years.
  • They've gotten married.
  • I'm car-sick. I feel sick. (울렁거려)
  • I got sick in the car. (토했어)
  • Don't be angry with me. (나한테 화나있지 마)
  • Don't get angry at me. (나한테 화내지 마)
  • I'm lost. Could I get some directions?

 

(3) 상태 vs 동사(해당하는 동사 있을 때)

  • We're closed.
  • The restaurant closes at 11:00.
  • Why are you worried? (왜 걱정인데?)
  • Why are you worring? (왜 걱정하고 있어?)
  • Fluffy has been dead for 3 years.
  • Fluffy has died and gone to heaven.

 

(4) Be or Get with personality adj.

  • She's nice to us.
  • She's being nice to us. (착하게 굴고있어)
  • She's getting nice. (착해지고 있어)

 

(5) have(있다) vs get(생기다)

  • You have something on your face.
  • Don't get anything on your new shirt.
